Not one or two but three bays with inviting turquoise-blue water are in the vicinity, and the eponymous sandy beach Cala Mendia is just a few hundred metres away. In the little harbour town of Porto Cristo, a 5 km drive away with the Coves del Drac on the way, you'll find all kinds of holiday amenities, from a supermarket and a weekly market to recommended (seafood) restaurants, and from the shopping hotspot of Manacor, 15 km away, you can easily set off on a day trip to Palma.
