Beach Platja de es Carbó
near Ses Salines (south)
Detailed Description
The Platja de es Carbó is the largest of a chain of sandy beaches south of Colonia de Sant Jordi. This spot is rarely visited, so you can find numerous peaceful places here. The adjacent dunes are great for birdwatching, and benefit from a wonderful view of the opposite island of Na Molino. There are no services here, and nothing in terms of leisure activities. The lack of maintenance here sometimes means that old seaweed can gather at the edge of the beach. The wide bay is often navigated by boats, but most visitors arrive on-foot, with the closest car park being about 40 minutes away.
