The beautiful village of Caimari, which belongs to the municipality of Selva, is located in the region of Es Raiguer, one of the most attractive areas of Mallorca, due to its contrast between the mountains and the plains of the neighbouring region of El Pla. Its location at the foot of the Serra de Tramuntana mountain range makes Caimari an idyllic spot of mountains dotted with the omnipresent olive tree, thick holm oak forests, green pine groves and lowlands where the landscape is marked by dry crops, almond trees, carob trees, fig trees and cereals, which populate the small farms divided by traditional dry stone walls. The weekly market in Caimari is held every Monday from 08.00 h to 13.00 h in the main square where various types of regional and everyday products are sold. At the end of November, the traditional Fira de l'Oliva takes place in Caimari. The village enjoys a long olive tradition that does not go unseen, and during these days the olive tree, the olives and the oil are the great protagonists of this festival. In Caimari, you will be able to live the experience of entering the peaceful island of yesteryear, enjoying the calm that characterises it so much, and the tranquillity transmitted by the unhurried life of its people.
