Campanet (North)

Situated in the northern centre of Mallorca, Campanet is close to the towns of Selva and Sa Pobla. About 2500 people live in this cosy village and it has been largely spared from tourism. Visitors have the opportunity to experience true island life and discover the beauty of Mallorcan nature. Throughout the region, which is also called "Campanet" by the way, old walls, traditional fincas and island plants can be admired in their original form; excursions to the surrounding villages offer a change of pace without having to leave the harmonious and peaceful landscape. During a stay in Campanet, an excursion to the "Coves de Campanet", the stalactite caves, should definitely be planned. They are 50 metres deep and fascinate visitors with their numerous tunnels, stalactites and water accumulations. You should also take a short break at the "Pou d'en Gatell" fountain, which dates back to the 13th century and is picturesquely embedded in the region surrounded by windmills.
