Estellencs (West)

Estellencs is a village facing the sea, in the western part of the Tramuntana mountain range, just 30 kilometres from Palma de Mallorca. It has just over 300 inhabitants and is far away from the mass tourism. The picturesque village is attractive in its own right, due to its rustic charm and its impressive location on the rocky coast of the Tramuntana mountains. It has several medieval buildings: the 17th century parish church of Sant Joan Baptista, the restored defensive tower, the 16th century Tem Alemany tower, and an old public wash house that was built during the Arab domination. Without a doubt, what makes it even more special is Cala Estellencs, accessible on foot in no more than 1 hour. There you will see the so-called "escars", which were shelters for the traditional fishermen's boats. There are several places to eat in the village and some shops.
