In the heart of the sunny island lies Inca, one of the largest towns on Mallorca, with a population of around 20,000. There are numerous historical buildings to explore in the town and the surrounding area, and Inca also has a lot to offer art lovers. Its main tourist attraction is the town's famous weekly market, held on Thursdays, where you can find its most typical and best quality products such as leather or foodstuffs, among many others. There are also a good number of boutiques and fashion shops, cafés and wine cellars, known as "cellers", where you can also enjoy the best regional gastronomy as well as the typical local biscuits. But if we want to discover its architecture, we cannot miss a visit to the Church of Santa María la Mayor (a majestic building in the Baroque style) and the old Convent of Sant Domingo. Likewise, the Sant Francesc and Sant Bartomeu Monasteries complete the cultural offer of this town.
