Porreres (South)

The small village of Porreres is located in the south-central part of Mallorca. The town is home to about 5,000 inhabitants and revolves around the cultivation of wine and peaches. Visitors can admire the old narrow streets, which show the traditional Majorca and thus fall into the charm of the Majorcan architecture and, above all, into the relaxing tranquillity of the place. When visiting Porreres, explore the church of Nuestra Señora de la Consolación, whose walls date back to the 18th century, but whose history dates back to the 13th century. The town hall museum also has wonderful paintings, two of which are by the famous artist Dalí. It is also worth a trip to the Santuari de Monti-Sion mountain in the south of the town, from where you have a breathtaking view of the plain of "Es Pla".
