S'Alqueria Blanca (South)
S'Alqueria Blanca is a village in the municipality of Santanyí. Although its economy used to be based on agriculture, nowadays tourism is its main activity, the village still preserves the character of the past. In the square in the centre of the village, where the church is located, there are several bars, restaurants and shops. One of the most interesting places is the Sanctuary of Consolation, an oratory where the image of Our Lady of Consolation is venerated. It is located on a small hill 203 m high with magnificent views of the south coast of Mallorca. The village market is held on Tuesdays, in Sant Josep square.
